Initial situation
In metalworking, varying orders, high quality requirements and the desire for greater transparency in manufacturing converge. Work preparation, production planning and shop-floor data collection were to be more closely integrated with the ERP system TopM to efficiently prepare orders, reliably plan capacities and make operating data transparent in real time.
Challenge
In the manufacturing of industrial silencers with high variant diversity and individual customer requirements, a continuous link between work preparation, fine planning and shop-floor data collection was required.
