Initial situation

Operating the learning factories at Inoyad GmbH requires a realistic representation of industrial production and planning processes. With the ERP system from S4P, order-related and planning workflows are covered end-to-end, so that participants experience an authentic industrial environment. With around 5 employees, Inoyad operates training facilities and Industry 4.0 training systems that reproduce real production processes together with all relevant MES modules.

Challenge

Fluctuating course occupancy, short-term changes and the need to make optimum use of scarce resources placed high demands on planning. Without end-to-end, graphical fine planning and integrated acquisition of operating and machine data, bottlenecks and scheduling conflicts were difficult to detect and manage early. For training purposes it was essential that all relevant S4P modules – from work preparation to process data acquisition – were available in a realistic, comprehensible and integrated environment.

Solution

To optimise its processes, Inoyad GmbH relies on the S4P solutions. Through their end-to-end integration, order, manufacturing and operating data are used to enable realistic and transparent planning and control. Modules deployed: 4AVO – work preparation for efficient order and manufacturing preparation; 4APS – Advanced Planning and Scheduling for graphical fine planning; 4BDE – shop-floor data collection at the terminal; 4MDE – machine data acquisition with OEE analysis; 4PRO – process data collection and warehouse management. All modules are fully integrated and form a realistic industrial environment for training and demonstrations.
