Initial situation
Winning CoFo – Räuchle GmbH, with around 200 employees, required end-to-end and transparent control of its manufacturing of solid formed parts and cold-formed parts. The goal was reliable planning and gapless capture of operating and machine data as a complement to the existing ERP system PSIPenta. Automotive components and fasteners with high quality requirements demand precise control of forming, heat treatment and inspection processes.
Challenge
Complex manufacturing processes with high schedule pressure and strict quality standards required end-to-end digitalisation of the shop floor. Lack of transparency over current machine and order states as well as manual, time-consuming data capture made reliable control and evaluation of manufacturing difficult. Without digital fine planning, capacity bottlenecks were difficult to identify at an early stage, placing a burden on on-time delivery to automotive customers.
Solution
To optimise manufacturing processes, Winning CoFo – Räuchle GmbH relies on solutions from software4production: 4APS for Advanced Planning and Scheduling with graphical fine planning and bottleneck management, 4AVO for work preparation and order management, and 4BDE for real-time operating and machine data collection. All modules are bidirectionally connected to PSIPenta, so that order and master data are automatically synchronised and feedback data is returned. Shift supervisors and dispatchers receive an up-to-date overview of order progress and machine utilisation.
Results and benefits
Winning CoFo – Räuchle GmbH benefits from transparent and reliable fine planning of manufacturing and a real-time overview of machine and order data. Manual capture effort was reduced, on-time delivery improved and supply capability to automotive customers increased. Key performance indicators for capacity utilisation and manufacturing progress are available at all times for evaluations and well-founded decisions.
